To update Microsoft 365 / Office software installed on your PC:

  1. Save all your work first and ensure it is synced
  2. Open any Office app, such as Word, and create a new document
  3. Go to File > Account (or Office Account if you opened Outlook)
  4. Under Product Information choose Update Options and then Update Now*
  5. Allow the updates to complete and close the “You’re up to date!” window

*You may need to click Enable Updates first if you don’t see the Update Now option right away.

<aside> ⬆️ If “Update Options” is missing and you only see an “About” button then you likely have a LTSC (volume license). If so, please try updating via Windows Update (Start > Settings > Updates & Security).
