Blocking migration on Windows

Download and run our script below, which will add a registry key to your Windows machine and prevent the automatic migration to New Outlook.

Please note that you will need admin rights to do this, and you will also likely see warnings that this file is potentially dangerous which is because it can/will modify your machine’s registry.

1. Download the following batch (script) file to your PC: Download DisableNewOutlook.bat
2. Right click on this file and choose ‘Run as administrator’
3. If Windows Defender (blue window) shows you a warning, click ‘More info’ then ‘Run anyway’
4. When asked “Do you want to allow this app to changes to your device?” choose ‘Yes’ (enter your admin account credentails if required)
5. The registry key will be added and you’ll see a confirmation in a Command Prompt window, hit any key to finish
