1. Check network

• Find the Network icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen near the clock (system tray)

• Click the icon to confirm you’re connected to WiFi or wired network

• If it shows as connected but internet is not working, try the further steps

2. Check internet and/or VPN

• Try opening a website that is regularly updated, e.g. bbc.co.uk
• If this doesn’t load:
  • Disconnect and reconnect your WiFi (see Step 3)
  • If your organisation uses a VPN, try disconnecting from it and test if internet works without the VPN

3. Toggle WiFi off and on

• Click the Network icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen near the clock (system tray)
• Toggle WiFi off, wait 10 seconds, toggle WiFi back on
• Reconnect to your WiFi network, if it doesn’t automatically do so
